Mamogs Postpartum Doula

Supporting mum, baby & the family unit in the days, weeks and months after the arrival of your baby. Providing practical, Informative & emotional support

What is a Postpartum Doula?

A doula is a trained and qualified professional who provides emotional, physical, and informative support to new and expectant parents before, during, and after birth, adoption, and surrogacy.  Your Doula will help you as a family with the adjustment to this new life and is aware of all your needs. A Doula offers evidence-based information on infant feeding, and emotional & physical recovery from childbirth along with practical support and other issues related to the postpartum period. A postpartum Doula will be by your side working with you at your pace.

Giving birth and becoming a parent is one of life’s greatest experiences and bringing baby home can be met with excitement, joy and possibly a little trepidation. This new road can take time to get used to.

Tasks that you never thought about before or
took for granted like cooking, eating, bathing, and sleeping now may seem nonexistent and you may wonder when will normality return.

Having good support surrounding you can make all the difference. Let me be your strength, allow me to wrap you in cotton wool and guide you safely to the other side. A Doula is also a wonderful support for families welcoming their baby through surrogacy or adoption. The transition into parenthood or extending your family is the same. Caring for your baby is full time and having support in your home, with your parenting choices respected and bouncing off a non-judgmental ear can make all the difference on your parenting journey.

The true doula magic that Michelle weaved was giving us the confidence to trust our instincts as first-time parents. Our last day with Michelle felt like a graduation! She had equipped us with the confidence that we could do it! I couldn’t recommend Michelle more to any parents-to-be themselves or to friends wondering what to get expecting parents!”
